03.01
Aerial Intelligence.
The awareness, insight, and trust layer for low-altitude airspace.
Research and partnerships
Aerial Grid develops Aerial Intelligence in collaboration with the Swiss Innovation Agency, CSEM, the Swiss drone industry, and Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub. Operations span Switzerland and India under the Switzerland-India Free Trade Agreement.
Research focus
Aerial Grid's research and development work focuses on six areas:
03.01
The awareness, insight, and trust layer for low-altitude airspace.
03.02
Combining cooperative (Remote ID) and non-cooperative (RF, SDR, radar) inputs into a unified airspace view.
03.03
Detection and correlation at the sensor node, designed for operational independence from central infrastructure.
03.04
Building privacy considerations into platform foundations rather than retrofitting them.
03.05
Supporting professional operators, public safety teams, and regulators with structured tools rather than ad-hoc procedures.
03.06
Designing the platform to scale from individual districts to larger multi-site operational contexts.
Innosuisse innoCheck
In August 2025, Aerial Grid AG was awarded an Innosuisse innoCheck by the Swiss Innovation Agency. The innoCheck - an instrument that supports early-stage innovation collaborations between Swiss companies and research partners - enables Aerial Grid's joint development with CSEM on core technology for Aerial Intelligence.
The innoCheck supports the early-stage collaboration between Aerial Grid and CSEM.
CSEM joint development
CSEM - the Centre Suisse d'Electronique et de Microtechnique - is Aerial Grid's research and development partner. The joint development work focuses on core technology for Aerial Intelligence: sensor fusion, edge AI, and privacy-by-design architecture for urban airspace contexts.
The collaboration is in progress under the Innosuisse innoCheck.
Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub
In August 2025, Aerial Grid joined the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub. The programme supports Aerial Grid's cloud, product, and commercial development as the company scales its Aerial Intelligence platform.
The programme provides startup ecosystem support as Aerial Grid develops its cloud, product, and commercial foundations.
DIAS
Aerial Grid is active in DIAS - the Drone Industry Association Switzerland. DIAS is the Swiss industry forum for drone-economy participants working on innovation, safety, and public interest.
Aerial Grid participates as an industry member, contributing to ecosystem dialogue around drone innovation, safety, and public interest.
Switzerland-India structure
Aerial Grid AG is the Swiss parent entity, registered in Switzerland. AerialGrid Private Limited is the Indian subsidiary, established in New Delhi in September 2025.
The Switzerland-India Free Trade Agreement, in force as of 2025, provides the framework for cross-border collaboration between the Swiss parent and the Indian subsidiary. The structure supports engineering and platform development in Switzerland and commercial expansion in India.
Partnership enquiries
Aerial Grid works with research institutions, system integrators, infrastructure operators, public-sector innovation teams, and industry partners on Aerial Intelligence projects, including dual-use contexts where governance and legal boundaries are clearly defined. Partnership conversations cover research collaboration, technology integration, and joint deployment scoping. Specific scope and structure are determined per conversation.
